Taking Attendance Using Student Check-in Code

The Student Check-in Code feature allows Instructors to create an attendance meeting which generates a random 6 digit numeric code and QR code which students will need to enter or scan with a smart phone or WiFi enabled tablet camera to be marked as present.

The check-in code may be shared to users outside of your classroom. It is recommended to spot-check students or have another method of attendance verification employed in your classroom.  The check-in code is a convenience only and is not a fool-proof system.

Create Check-in Meeting

  1. Select Add Meeting

  2. Enter the meeting’s date and time

  3. Mark all attendees as Absent.

NOTE: Check-in codes cannot be used when all attendees are marked as Present since the check-in code will not override a present state.

  6. Optional: Select your seating chart preference.

  7. Select the Create Meeting button.
