Turnitin Draft Coach

Turnitin Draft Coach is designed to assist students with their academic writing and research skills by providing them with instant feedback.

Draft Coach works with Microsoft Word Online and is not compatible with the desktop application of Microsoft Word.

Install Turnitin Draft Coach

  1. Go to https://www.office.com and launch Microsoft Word.
  2. Open an Microsoft Word document.
  3. Select Home and select Add-ins. If you don't see Add-ins, click the ellipses and then select Add-ins.
  4. From the Office Add-ins modal, select Admin Managed and then select Turnitin Draft Coach.
  5. Select Add.
  6. The Turnitin Draft Coach panel will appear on the right-hand side of your document.
    • If the panel fails to appear and an error message appears instead, ensure pop-ups are enabled in the browser's settings and try again.
  7. Select Get Feedback Now to get started.
  8. Turnitin will now be a menu item in the Microsoft toolbar ribbon.

Using Draft Coach with an Online Word Document

  1. Go to https://www.office.com and launch Microsoft Word.
  2. Open a Microsoft Word document.
  3. Select the Turnitin menu item. Draft Coach will appear below the Microsoft tools ribbon.
  4. Select Draft Coach. The Turnitin Draft Coach panel will appear on the right-hand side of your document.
