Customize Sessions


Create a Topic

The topic is the subject and scope of your training, workshop, presentation, or event. After you create a topic, you will need to create a session.

  1. Select the Create New Topic button.
  2. Provide a name and description for the workshop.
  3. Choose a department from the drop-down menu.
  4. Enter how long the class will run in minutes.
  5. If available, enter a URL to provide users with more information.
  6. Choose your post-class survey options.
  7. Add any workshop materials you'd like to add.

    NOTE: Workshop materials will be available for participants to download from the registration page.
     
  8. Select Create Topic at the bottom of the screen.

Create a Session

Sessions are when, where, and what time a topic will be held. A topic is the subject and scope of your training, workshop, presentation, or event. Each topic will contain one or more sessions. 

  1. Select on the topic in which you wish to create a session.
  2. Select Create New Session.
  3. Enter the session date and time.
  4. Enter the instructor's name or TXST NetID in the instructor(s) box.

    NOTE: You may add as many instructors as you'd like by clicking Add Another Instructor.
     
  5. Select Create Session at the bottom of the screen.

    NOTE: Topics must contain sessions. If a topic does not contain a session it will not be visible to the end user.

Edit a Topic

The topic is the subject and scope of your training, workshop, presentation, or event. After you create a topic, you will need to create a session. 

  1. Select the topic you need to edit
  2. Select Update Topic Details.
  3. Select Make Changes to update the topic.

  1. Select on the session you'd like to edit.
  2. Select Update Session Details.
  3. Select Make Changes to update the session.
