About Texas State Distance Learning Virtual Labs
The Distance Learning Virtual Computer Lab connects students taking computer-based or correspondence courses with resources that would normally be found on campus only. Faculty must request access on a semester-by-semester basis for students taking their classes.

- Where to use: Texas State Windows and Mac computers, personal computers, online

Get Started
Available Software
The following software is available by Faculty request for single-semester use in specific classes:
- SPSS
- Access
- Visio
- Project
- Word
- PowerPoint
- Excel
Requests for Additional Software
Faculty can inquire about adding additional software titles to the virtual lab. The turn around time for additional software is 30 days, so please submit requests well in advance of each semester.
Request access form can be found here.
Note: Not all software can be installed in virtual labs. For each additional software request, we will evaluate the license agreement to make sure we stay in compliance with the vendor and university agreements.

Note: You must save all documents created in the Distance Learning Virtual Computer Lab to your UDrive. Files saved in the virtual lab are deleted after you log out.
