Departmental Classrooms List

Departmental Classrooms are instructional spaces with a minimum of 35 hours of scheduled instruction per semester. Due to the high instructional usage, these rooms qualify for additional support from IT. The support structure is as follows:

  • ITAC offers live Help Desk support similar to IT Supported Classrooms, at no cost.
  • Most departments have a TSP or Admin who can provide support as well, and should act as the liaison with ITAC.
  • Computers in these classrooms are exclusively owned and maintained by the department and TSP.
  • ITAC - Learning Spaces will upgrade equipment when possible using surplus inventory pulled from IT Supported Classrooms.
  • Departments may request upgrades or enhancements and are responsible for providing funding for equipment and labor.
  • Supporting Departmental Classrooms is ITAC's secondary priority.

Video Conferencing Technology
All classrooms are equipped with a USB-enabled document camera which can be used as a webcam for online or hyflex instruction. Classrooms with this technology are denoted in the table below as "Doc Cam".

Some classrooms have been enhanced with an installed room camera(s), ceiling microphone(s), or wireless handheld/lapel microphone(s). Classrooms with this technology are denoted in the table below as "VC Enabled".
