Does Learning Spaces provide assistance during class for classroom technology?
Yes! If you have an issue with classroom technology during your class, ITAC and Learning Spaces is ready to provide support. Call the ITAC Call Center (512-245-4822) and they will try to assist you remotely. If the issue cannot be resolved over the phone, Learning Spaces will send a technician to your room in minutes. If your issue is non-urgent, you can send an email to ITAC or utilize the LiveChat service.

I'm new to the university. How can I learn about the technology in my classroom?
If you'd like an in-person training session to go over things and answer all your questions, please refer to the Training page and complete the request form. You can also refer to the Online Courses page or the Documents page to learn more about the classroom technology.

I'm in a DLP classroom and the technology seems different. How do I get help?
Learning Spaces supports all DLP classrooms on campus. If there is an issue with the technology in a DLP room, please contact the ITAC Call Center via phone (512-245-4822), email, or the LiveChat feature. If you'd like some resources to learn about the technology, please refer to the Online Courses page or the Documents page. If you'd like an in-person training session, please refer to the Training page.

I'm interested in upgrading the A/V setup in my space. Is Learning Spaces the group to talk to?
Yes! Learning Spaces handles A/V consultations, design, and integration (installation) work for the university. Please refer to the Project Status page for more information or the Design Consultation page to find the form to initiate the process.

My group is interested in holding an event in one of the Teaching Theaters. How do I do that?
Learning Spaces offers limited support for Teaching Theater events. However, if you are planning to use the LBJ Student Center Teaching Theater, please contact the Student Center. Please refer to the Teaching Theaters page for specific information regarding request forms, costs, and information for events held in the Alkek and Centennial Teaching Theaters.

Does Learning Spaces provide support for my digital sign?
Learning Spaces does provides support for the digital signage hardware on campus as well digital signage design, consultation, and installation. For all digital sign support issues, please contact the ITAC Call Center via phone (512-245-4822), email, or LiveChat. I'm at the Round Rock campus. Does Learning Spaces support these spaces as well?
Yes, Learning Spaces does support spaces at the Round Rock campus (check out the IT Supported Classrooms list), and ITAC also has a Service Center in the Avery Building, room 302. For support issues you can call the ITAC Call Center via phone (512-245-4822), email, or the LiveChat feature and simply inform them that you are in Round Rock, and they will direct your issue to the Round Rock team.

Does Learning Spaces or ITAC assist with live streaming events?
Yes, ITAC and Learning Spaces do assist with live streaming event services. Please refer to the Teaching Theaters & Live Streaming Events page for more information. My room is Departmental Classroom. Can Learning Spaces assist with PC issues?
In Departmental Classrooms, the PC is owned and managed by the department and the department TSP (Technical Support Person) is the one who will assist with any PC-related issues. Learning Spaces can provide support for the A/V classroom technology, but may have to work in coordination with the TSP.

I need help with Zoom, Teams, or some other software. Does Learning Spaces provide training?
Learning Spaces does not provide training for specific software usage, but will provide assistance for using certain programs with the classroom technology. If you'd like training on using a specific software program, please contact ITAC. Alternatively, you may check out the ITAC Request Forms page.

Will Learning Spaces unlock my classroom door or the doors on the media cabinet?
For classroom door issues, please speak with your department or UPD. The front doors on the media cabinet should be unlocked or your department should have a key that can unlock them. Most departments issue this key to all faculty. As a general policy, Learning Spaces does not unlock the rear doors of the media cabinet unless a technician is on-site.

I need a dongle/adapter for my device to connect to the classroom system. Does Learning Spaces provide them?
Unfortunately, Learning Spaces is not able to provide dongles or adapters for laptops, iPads, tablets, and so on. Please contact your department TSP (Technical Support Person) to see if they can provide one for you, or you will need to purchase one yourself. If you have the appropriate dongle/adapter and it is not connecting to the system properly, please contact ITAC.

Does Learning Spaces provide PowerPoint remotes?
Unfortunately, Learning Spaces does not have any PowerPoint remotes to provide to faculty. Please contact your department about acquiring one.

Learning Spaces does not provide batteries for devices. Please contact your department about batteries or battery purchases.

The internet isn't working in my classroom. Will Learning Spaces fix it?
Learning Spaces is not able to fix internet - both wired ethernet and wireless - issues. These are handled by Network Operations. If you have an issue with the campus internet, please contact ITAC.

I'd like to use a laptop, tablet, or other device in my class. Does Learning Spaces offer rental services?
Unfortunately, Learning Spaces cannot provide equipment rentals. Please confer with your department to see if they can provide you with the equipment you need. Alternatively, the Alkek Library does provide equipment rental services.

Our department is looking to rearrange/move equipment. Does Learning Spaces assist with moving things?
Learning Spaces is not equipped to assist with the transportation of equipment, computers, or furniture. It is recommended, you speak with Materials Management and Logistics about their moving services. If A/V equipment needs to be removed or relocated, please use the Learning Spaces A/V Consultation Request to initiate a project.
